It just occurred to me that the inner sleeve photo of U2's first album, "Boy," is a little creepy. What was Boner trying to tell us?
THE MANIFESTO
We have suffered more than two decades of songs about fish ignoring their bicycles. We have suffered more than two decades of songs about still having not found the Playboy Mansion. We have suffered more than two decades of songs about lions mistreating zebras while God shakes his head in disgust. How long, how long must they sing these songs? Forever is fine, as long as our volume knobs are stuck at zero. Do not make us take the stairs to the first floor, turn the key and slowly unlock the door. Do not make us listen as a man breathes into a saxophone and outside we hear the walls of the city groan. Do not make us watch as he takes those dollar bills, slappin' them down. ONE HUNDRED!
